Giving Thanks

To be standing atop the ground, instead of under it. Unemployed, but not destitute. Allowed to broadcast conscious sounds without restrictions. The Bush years, in the rear-view (though, with "centrist" Democrats, who needs Republicans?).

It's a short list for Thanksgiving... but, there are things for which to be thankful.

Jah Provide.

Ras Rizla At The Controls: A Tribute To Johnny Gilmore

I don't have Rizla's playlist, but this show is a special Live-I-Cation to the musical talents of Johnny Gilmore, veteran journeyman drummer for too many Charlottesville bands to count. Jazz, Blues, Reggae, whatever you could imagine was within grasp of his sticks. Tragically, gone. But, Remembered.

Ras Rizla, At The Controls

We've been pre-empted for two weeks for the Fall Classical/Jazz Marathon, but back, live-and-direct, tomorrow afternoon. Ras Rilza rewinds the Vibe.

Soon, archived broadcasts from the WTJU.net website will be available for two weeks after airing. For those of you who don't have access to our 2PM Friday broadcasts, and have trouble with the Podcast, this is another way to spread the message. Appropriate links will be posted when it's up-and-running.

Nuff RASpec'.
