2011 Jazz Fund-Raising Marathon: Red Beans And Rice And Peas.

This Friday, Sept 30th, from 2-4PM, we'll be joining in the 2011 Jazz Fund-Raising Marathon (listener participation is how we survive) with a show called "Red Beans And Rice And Peas": it's a two-hour celebration of how New Orleans and Jamaica are joined at the "Hip".

The Chris Blackwell interview says it all... but, we'll also be showcasing how ska and R&B, soul and rocksteady, and funk and reggae are like twins from different mothers.
